Treat your Mum this Sunday!

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, in case you’ve forgotten – which is highly likely with so many deadlines looming.

If you’re mum is coming to visit you in Liverpool on Sunday 6th March, we’ve got a few affordable ideas up our sleeves to get you in the good books and save some money.

Take a picnic to the beach

You may have to wrap up warm for this one, but if the weather turns out well, you’ll be in with a hit! Take the Wirral line train from Liverpool Central or Lime Street to West Kirby. Just 34 minutes out of the city centre and you’re in a tiny tranquil seaside town with plenty to do.

You can visit Ashton Park, Caldy hills and of course, the beach. If you’re lucky you can take a walk around the Marine Lake (above). Take a picnic or visit the beach hut for some fish and chips.

Mums eat free

Many restaurants in the city centre are doing a ‘mums eat free’ day on Sunday, perfect for those of you wanting to look like you’ve put a lot of effort in but not having the money to do so.

  • Savina Mexican Restaurant and Bar, 138 Duke Street, Liverpool, L1 5AG
  • House Liverpool, 25 Bold Street, Liverpool L1 4DN
  • Pattersons, 28 Gradwell St, Liverpool L1 4JH

From Mexican, to tapas to fried chicken, there’s something to cater for every mother’s needs!

Admire the views

The perfect place to take those more adventurous mums for a bit of quality time. The Wheel of Liverpool between the Echo Arena and the Albert Dock is the perfect place to take in the views of the Mersey and the city.

You can visit day or night as the Wheel is open from 10am until 9pm on a Sunday. So switch off your phone and catch up with your mum, 196ft in the air.

Give her a call

Even if you aren’t seeing your mum on her dedicated day of the year, give her a call. It’ll be a sure way to put a smile on her face.
